By using calcloan.co.za ("the site") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the site.
1. What CalcLoan is — and isn't
CalcLoan provides free educational calculators and general information about loans in South Africa. This is an estimate only, not financial or tax advice, and we are not a financial services provider (FSP), a credit provider, or a registered financial advisor. Our tools do not constitute a quote, an offer of credit, or personalised advice. Always confirm figures with your bank or a registered financial advisor before making any borrowing decision.
2. Estimates only — no warranty
The calculators show estimates based on the numbers you enter and standard formulas. Your actual repayments, interest, fees and eligibility depend on your lender and your personal circumstances, and will differ. We keep our rates and information as accurate as we reasonably can, but we make no warranty that everything on the site is accurate, complete or current, and we are not liable for any loss or decision made in reliance on it. You use the site at your own risk.
3. Affiliate links and independence
Some links on the site are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you take up a product after clicking one. We disclose these on the page where they appear. Affiliate relationships never influence how our calculators work or how comparisons are ranked — results are impartial and are the same whether or not a link earns us anything. See our affiliate disclosure.
4. Embeddable widgets
We offer free calculator widgets you can embed on your own website via an iframe. If you use one, you agree that the "Powered by CalcLoan" attribution link must stay visible and unaltered — it may not be hidden, removed or restyled to be invisible. The widgets are provided "as is", may change or be withdrawn, and carry the same "estimate only / not an FSP" limitations as the rest of the site.
5. Intellectual property
The site's content, design, text and code are owned by CalcLoan unless stated otherwise. You may use the calculators and share links to our pages. You may not copy, scrape, or republish the site's content or code wholesale without permission. The embed widgets are the exception, on the attribution terms in section 4.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the site unlawfully, don't try to break or overload it, and don't misrepresent our estimates as official quotes.
7. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the last change. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
